1320C Automatic PLC Controlled Double Chamber Vacuum Carburizing Furnace
Introduction
The ZYQ2-ST series double-chamber vacuum carburizing furnace is a dual-chamber oil/gas quenching vacuum furnace with low-pressure carburizing function. It is mainly used for vacuum quenching of tool steel, die steel, bearing steel, spring steel, as well as vacuum carburizing and quenching heat treatment of low-carbon alloy steel parts such as 20CrMnTi and 20# steel.
Control System: Industrial computer system, fully automatic (or manual) control for quenching and carburizing processes.
Process Media: Acetylene for carburizing, high-purity nitrogen for diffusion.
Optional Quenching Modes: Dual-chamber gas quenching, dual-chamber oil quenching, or three-chamber oil/gas quenching.
Advantages
-
High carbon transfer rate
-
Short process cycle
-
No soot or tar generation
-
Uniform and high-quality carburizing results
-
Large furnace loading capacity for high production efficiency
-
Eliminates internal oxidation defects
-
High brightness of parts after oil or gas quenching
-
Selective carburizing can be achieved using electroplated copper/nickel coatings or special paints
-
No heat radiation, no flame, no exhaust emissions
Typical Application Cases
1. Diesel Engine Nozzle: Acetylene Vacuum Carburizing + Gas Quenching
Material: Low-alloy Cr-Ni steel, requiring uniform carburizing
Equipment: Double-chamber vacuum gas-quenching carburizing furnace
Process Parameters: Carburizing at 910°C, then quenching at 860°C with nitrogen at 6–10 bar pressure, by tempering at 170°C
Results:
Surface hardness: HV1760, core hardness: HV1450
Smooth hardness gradient in the carburized layer
Case depth: 0.6 mm, with a depth difference of only 0.1 mm between inner and outer sections of the nozzle
Clean, bright parts after gas quenching, no cleaning required
Eliminates the internal oxidation common in conventional gas carburizing
2. Powder Metallurgy Gear: Acetylene Vacuum Carburizing + Oil Quenching
Material: Cr-Mo steel with 0.35% C and 0.5% Mn
Technical Requirements: Surface hardness > HV1700, carbon content at gear periphery = 1.0%, case depth = 0.35 mm
Process Parameters: Carburizing at 900°C for ~70 minutes, oil quenching, tempering at 160°C
Results:
Surface hardness: HV1780, core hardness: HV1300
Effective case depth: 0.4 mm
